Dr Shah Jahan Mohd Yussof is a Consultant Emergency &Trauma Physician in Sungai Buloh Hospital, a National Trauma Center in Malaysia. He attained his undergraduate training in University of Science (USM) and subsequently further completed his post graduate specialist training in Emergency Medicine at University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia.

In His 21 years of career, He has considerable experience being involved in many domestic and International Medical Emergency & Disaster Response Missions, High Profile Medical Coverage for both local and foreign Heads of States, medical coverage for high-risk international motorsport events, organizing mass CPR programs, development of emergency clinical pathways as well as medical innovation. Of them all, Dr Shah Jahan is especially passionate in the provision of Emergency Trauma Clinical Care. He is deeply involved in both the development of trauma clinical services and systems in Malaysia. He has been very ardent in promoting trauma clinical education and frequently organizers training courses for both medical officers and clinical allied health staffs.

Dr Shah Jahan concluded His Sub-Specialty training in Emergency Trauma Care and completed the Trauma Fellowship at The Alfred, Melbourne. He is the pioneer as well as the Head of Trauma Physician Subspecialty Training Program in the Ministry of Health and the Chair of The Trauma SIG for College of Emergency Physicians, Malaysia.

Amongst others, He holds position as the Chairman of the Trauma Life Support Subcommittee for the Malaysian National Committee on Resuscitation Training (NCORT). He is also a member to the National Trauma Policy Steering Committee, The National Registry Manager for the Malaysian Trauma Registry (MTR), National POMR Assessor for Emergency Trauma Medicine and the President of the Malaysian Society for the Care of Trauma, MASCOT. Dr Shah Jahan has been appointed as member of the National Emergency Medicine Conjoint Board for Specialty Sub-Committee (SCCEM), honorary Post Graduate Clinical Supervisor at Medical Faculty of University Technology MARA (UiTM), University Malaya (UM) and National University of Malaysia (UKM) in Kuala Lumpur. Aside from his clinical and academic roles in the development of Emergency Trauma Care in Malaysia, Dr Shah Jahan is also the Head of the Selangor State Bed Management Unit.

During his after hours, He is keenly involved in community health services by contributing his voluntary time into the Malaysian St. John’s Ambulance Organization where he is entrusted as the National Chief Medical Officer.

Dr Shah Jahan envisions a future of an improved trauma clinical care service and system in Malaysia. He acclaims a career dedicated into realizing this vision.
