Prof. Marcus Ong is a Senior Consultant and Clinician Scientist, at the Department of Emergency Medicine in Singapore General Hospital. He is also Director of the Health Services Research Institute (HSRI), Director of Health Services Research Center (HSRC), SingHealth Services; Professor and Director, Health Services and Systems Research (HSSR); Director, Prehospital and Emergency Research Center (PERC), Duke-NUS Medical School. Prof Ong also serves as Medical Director, Unit for Prehospital Emergency Care (UPEC) and Senior Consultant, Ministry of Health, Hospital Services Division. He is a current recipient of the NMRC Clinician Scientist Award. Finally he is Chairman, Pan Asian Resuscitation Outcomes Study (PAROS). He has spent his career balancing clinical, research, education and policy work.

Professor Sang Do Shin graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine, and trained as an emergency medicine resident and a fellow at Seoul National University Hospital. Since 2004, he is currently a professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine of Seoul National University Hospital, and at Seoul National University.

Professor Shin has worked as a principle investigator of the Korean OHCA registry since 2006. Based on this, he has improved the survival rate of cardiac arrest through epidemiological research on cardiac arrest, development of community CPR education programs, and improvement of EMS CPR programs. He has trained and educated EMS medical directors in Korea, and served as the chairman of the Korean Association of EMS Physicians in 2017-2018. He has contributed to develop an EMS-treated severe trauma registry, and a nationwide ED information system in Korea.

He served as the founding chairman of the Asian EMS Council (currently the Asian Association of EMS) in 2010-2011 and has since been actively participating in the development of the Asian EMS system. He has been co-chair of the Pan-Asian Resuscitation Outcomes Study Clinical Research Network since 2010, and chair of the Pan-Asian Trauma Outcomes Study Clinical Research Network since 2015.

Dr. Ali Haedar is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Brawijaya and a Consultant Emergency Medicine & Prehospital Emergency Care Physician at Saiful Anwar General Hospital, Malang - Indonesia. He serves on the Technical Working Group for the WHO Emergency Medical Team on Medical Evacuation (MEDEVAC) and Pre-Hospital Management in Emergencies and is an Expert Advisor to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. Additionally, he is a faculty of the American Heart Association for Indonesia, contributing his expertise to advance emergency care standards and training across the region.

Terry Martin is a Consultant and Associate Professor in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine. He started his career as a Royal Air Force doctor, qualified as a helicopter pilot and has been involved in the organisation, practice, research and teaching of civilian and military air ambulance transport.

His RAF experiences included command of an aeromedical staging facility (first Gulf War), aerospace medicine research, and locum director (Royal New Zealand Air Force Medical Branch). His civilian patient transport and retrieval practice has included director positions in HEMS and fixed wing air ambulance organisations, medical assistance services, and for charities. Terry has written international industry standards, external governance with AMREF flying doctors, published extensively and taught thousands of students across the world (CCAT Aeromedical Training), of which he is the creator and education director.

Terry remains an examiner (Diploma of Retrieval and Transport Medicine, Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh) and has academic links around the globe. He maintains a consultancy, specialising in development of patient transport services and having established or developed eight air ambulance services, his passion is to create high quality aeromedical transport services capable of safely moving the most seriously ill and injured patients.

Dr. Ichiro Takeuchi, MD, PhD is Chief Professor of Department of Emergency Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Trauma Center at Yokohama City University Hospital.

He is board-certified in Emergency Medicine, Cardiology, and critical care medicine. He received MD and PhD.

While leading one of the largest emergency departments and ICU unit in Japan, he serves as a core member of many important committees in the emergency medicine, Emergency Cardiology and critical care medicine, Disaster Medicine as well as committee of Japanese government. Guideline for Acute Coronary Syndrome and ACLS project development project since 2017.

One of his main interests has been in improving patient outcomes with ECMO including eCPR. He is a core committee member of ECMO project in Japanese society of Respiratory Care Medicine and Japanese Society of Intensive Care Medicine and Japanese ECMO Net core member.

Dr. Yohei Okada (MD, PhD) is a certified emergency and critical care physician in Japan, as well as a researcher in emergency medicine, epidemiology, and machine learning. He is currently working at Duke-NUS Medical School in Singapore, focusing on health services research. His primary research interest is in resuscitation strategies utilizing prediction models. Dr. Okada has contributed to more than 100 international research papers, including publications in top-tier journals such as JAMA Surgery, JAMA Network Open, Critical Care, and Resuscitation.

In addition to his research, he serves as the chair of the Digital EMS Committee and actively contributes to the Committee for the Application of Advanced Technology within the Japanese Association of Acute Medicine.

Prof Sabariah is currently the Honorary Professor and Visiting Consultant Emergency Physician at the University Technology MARA, Malaysia. She was until November 2018, the National Advisor to the Ministry of Health Malaysia for Emergency Medicine and Trauma services. She was also the past President Malaysian Resuscitation Association. She is currently the a Board member of the Asian Society of Emergency Medicine and the Executive Committee for the Pan Asia Trauma Outcome Study. She also served as a consultant to WHO on Emergency Care Systems.

Professor Wen-Chu Chiang is the Deputy Director of NTU Hospital Yunlin Branch and a Clinical Professor at NTU College of Medicine. He excels in emergency medical services (EMS), leading innovative policies and holding key organizational positions. His achievements include:

1. Innovative Critical Care: Professor Chiang collaborates with the local government to establish a multi-disciplinary collaboration of prehospital care network in rural areas, earning the 2023 “Excellence in Urban Governance - Social Progress Award” In Taiwan.
2. Renowned Research: He has published over 150 SCI papers, including high-impact studies in leading journals like Resuscitation, Ann Emerg Med, Crit Care Med, Plos Med, Int J Surgery, JAMA Open, and the BMJ. His work in pre-hospital randomized controlled trials is pioneering and influential.
3. Educational Leadership: He has received multiple teaching awards and edited key textbooks, significantly contributing to emergency medical education in Taiwan.
4. International Cooperation: Professor Chiang leads international health-promotion projects, including the “Somaliland Public Health Emergency Medical Response Plan,” transferring Taiwan’s EMS expertise to Africa.

Prof Hideharu Tanaka, M.D., Ph D., is a Professor, Director of EMS system, Graduate School of Kokushikan, University. And researched Scientist, Disaster prevention, EMS and rescue institute of Kokushikan University.

He is Appointed President All Japan Paramedic education Association, Committee member of National Resuscitation Council, PAD Council of Ministry of Health Welfare and Labour, Board member of Japan Emergency Medical Society.

Dr. Michael Levy, M.D., FAEMS, FACP, is an EMS physician in Anchorage, Alaska, where he serves as Chief Medical Officer for Anchorage Areawide EMS and Medical Director for multiple EMS agencies across the state. With over two decades of experience in Alaska, Dr. Levy has a distinguished career in EMS, including leadership roles such as Immediate Past President of NAEMSP (2021-2022) and Chief Medical Advisor for Stryker Emergency Care. His work focuses on resuscitation and improving patient outcomes through education and evidence-based practice. Dr. Levy earned his M.D. from Northwestern University and holds board certifications in EMS Medicine,Emergency and Internal Medicine. He is Affil. Assoc. Prof. Ng Yih Yng is the Director of the Digital and Smart Health Office for the Ng Teng Fong Centre for Healthcare Innovation (CHI) and a faculty with the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKC-SOM), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Digital Health and AI, as well as the clinical director of the LKC-SOM, NTU World Health Organisation collaborating centre for Digital Health & Health Education. He is a Senior Consultant, Department of Preventive & Population Medicine at the Tan Tock Seng Hospital involved in Population Health and Digital Health Transformation. Yih Yng was previously a military emergency physician in the SAF, the Chief Medical Officer of the SCDF and the HomeTeam of MHA before joining TTSH and NHG to do emergency medicine, public health and administration. He was responsible for the transformation of the SCDF 995 call center operations, SCDF emergency medical services, starting a HomeTeam Medical Services Division and national initiatives like the HDB Save-a-Life AED program, SCDF myResponder mobile app and first national prehospital EMR system, OMNII. He has clinical interest in resuscitation, digital health, innovation, AI and public health.

Professor Kyoung-Jun Song, M.D., Ph.D, is a Vice-President of the Seoul Metropolitan Government Boramae Medical Center, Seoul, Korea. He is also a professor of department of Emergency Medicine in Boramae Medical Center. His academic credentials include a medical degree and master of medicine from Seoul National University College of Medicine 1997, 2006. He obtained his board certification in emergency medicine at Seoul National University Hospital in 2004, and completed fellowship at the same hospital in 2005. Prof. Song has been actively involved many EMS related research. His research area includes pre-hospital resuscitation, injury prevention, various ED based registry, and public health emergency medicine.

Dr Nan Liu leads the Duke-NUS AI + Medical Sciences Initiative (DAISI) and directs the Digital Medicine Lab at Duke-NUS Medical School. His research focuses on ethical and trustworthy AI with applications to medical informatics, health services research, emergency and critical care, cardiology, and health innovation. Dr Liu has been awarded research grants from the Singapore National Medical Research Council and National Research Foundation. He was recognized as one of the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University and Elsevier. Dr Liu has served as an Editor for many prestigious journals, such as npj Digital Medicine and PLOS Medicine.

Masamune Kuno currently serves as the Director of the Emergency and Critical Care Center at Nippon Medical School, Tamanagayama Hospital.
